My ‘This Is Not Oz’ collage originated from this cool little guy.
Things just kind of…got out of control, thereafter. Really, it is the same story with all my collages, though. As is evident throughout my body of work, I am attached to both worlds- favoring the controlled and severely uncontrolled chaos equally.

My solution is to keep all my pieces in layers, so that I can return and borrow from the mess in hindsight.

Sometimes, this action of sorting out doesn’t even take place until many years in the future.
Just exactly like Ice Cream Man here. He re-arrived to the party a couple hours ago….
