If only I had the ability to stop myself from delving deeply into the psyche of a country that is so very OUT TO FUCKING LUNCH…I might actually sleep soundly at night.
A dear person in my life says to me yesterday, “My mom was going to vote for Obama, until McCain added Palin to the ticket.” I then asked my lovely friend to do their mom a favor, and get a baseball bat to put her out of misery. Metaphorically speaking, of course! ;)
I find it hard to believe that there are people actually willing to vote for a person, who obviously puts her biggest efforts into what she will wear on any given day, being a hairstylists dream-boat, and giving the cosmetic companies a reason to persist.
She is in essence, selling the American illusion that all is well if you can ‘look’ the role.
Fuck any requirement of legitimate credentials! Tip of the iceberg, folks…we are living in extremely scary times.
I am currently working on a piece which is physically draining for me.
Not only have I found it a constant treat to work on these vignette pieces, like the one posted above- but, there have actually been times when I have pondered leaving behind the busy complexities of my usual art style altogether.
Why?
Well, for one thing- not much thought has to go into making these small works.
And secondly, I can whip them out in about 5 seconds flat :D
This new one is taking a huge chunk of mental effort, because there is a massive amount of anger spilling into it. For better or worse, it needs to come out- and I am not one to stop the process.
I don’t think it takes much imagination to speculate what I am pissed about though, aye?

The even bigger surprise will make itself known in due time for posting.
But, to simplify the mystery of which I am referring- it suffices to state that I have never made a piece in this manner. And, I am quite pleased at the result, despite the degrees of difficulty.
