“Someone said these were your eyes. But, I assured them your eyes were never blue…”

It’s getting easier as the days pass. “They” arrived just in time…
Had a wonderfully fulfilling visit this summer, welcoming my absolute most favorite people on this planet to share home for a month long visit. One could ultimately say that my comfort came through playing the sickeningly touristy host. hehehe~

“We did it all! And, we had so much fun doing it too!”

Spent all of July away from my computer, and from working on any art.
SHOCKING! :) But, the break was well deserved, as I have been working nonstop on so many different projects for this last year. And, soon as everyone left, I was again ravenous to continue on from where I had left before they arrived.

What a year of reflection this has been! Occupying my head is an obvious devastation which still looms from having lost my brother last summer. The wound ever fresh – I miss him as much as if it had happened just yesterday. But, not unlike the toll my father’s death has taken on my life…I do not think this sadness will ever go away.

“Although, my pain now has a specific place, where I only allow myself to travel when I am feeling strong enough.”

Anyway…
Lovely guests now gone…
The house has once again quieted…
So, back to doing what I do best…
Making art! And lots of it!
